Leading hospital in the Philippines Makati Medical Center received a Silver Anvil for its 2016 Annual Report during the recently concluded 53rd Anvil Awards.
The hospital’s Promotions, Communications & Special Projects Department under the Marketing and Sales Services Division, along with Buensalido Public Relations Agency, entered the Annual Report, titled “Culture of Care”, under the Public Relations Tools: Publications category. The entry passed the rigorous screening of esteemed PR professionals and a distinguished multi-sectoral jury.
The Annual Report gives the hospital’s stockholders information on the institution’s financial health, activities, and accomplishments. It narrates countless achievements and progress attained by MakatiMed and serves as a guide in developing plans for the institution in the coming years.
The 2016 report was centered on the theme “Culture of Care”, which ties together the institution’s endeavors and reflects MakatiMed’s primary focus on its patients’ well-being. It was distributed to the hospital’s stockholders, which include Board of Directors and doctors, during the Annual Stockholders’ Meeting held in July 2017.
This is MakatiMed’s second Anvil Award. The hospital won in 2017 for its MakatiMed BEAT Monthly Newsletter.
Dubbed as the “Oscars” of the PR industry, the Anvil Awards was established by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines to recognize outstanding public relations programs, tools, and practitioners. Practitioners in the fields of Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications vie for an Anvil Award every year as it is a culmination of past year’s communication efforts and a symbol of excellence in public relations. This year, the Anvil Awards received a record high of 450 entries for 36 specific categories for programs and tools as well as eight special categories.
